James is a dynamic educator providing support to individuals, schools, organizations, businesses, and more. They have been teaching about LGBTQ issues for the last 16 years, working with homeless shelters and clinics to K-12 schools and college classrooms. In the last 5 years, James has provided trainings to 200+ school districts throughout the Northeastern part of the country (primarily in MA, NY, & VT).
Beginning their social justice work as a high school student, James’ passion for equity has only grown. While in college, they worked as lead organizer for two LGBTQ campus groups, one dedicated to promoting visibility and inclusion of transgender and gender non-conforming people, the other a Queer Alliance.
Today, James brings the same tenacity to their trainings.
Certified as a National Professional Development Trainer with GLSEN, holding certifications with a variety of trainings programs aimed at suicide prevention (including Trevor, SafeTALK, ASIST, Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid), and incorporating a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach to their work, James is ready to assist you with your training needs.
